Our Microfral® 200 Solution

Fluorotechnique is made up of several departments, including the Microfral department, which specializes in surface treatments designed to solve adhesion and wear issues. For this purpose, we offer two flagship products: Microfral® 100 and Microfral® 200. Here, we focus on the latter.

Microfral 200

We are presenting Microfral® 200 in the context of a client project. Lubricating and non-stick, it contains molybdenum disulfide and is applied using the inlay process. Microfral 200 can withstand temperatures ranging from -198°C to +760°C. Its coefficient of friction ranges from 0.02 to 0.06.
Back to our project: for one year now, we have been testing our Microfral® 200 solutions, and we are proud to say they have been selected for the ICAR cryomechanism project developed by the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA).
This cryomechanism will equip the world's largest telescope, located in the mountains of the Atacama Desert in Chile, starting in 2025. For this project, Microfral® 200 has been qualified for 200,000 couplings/decouplings at -240°C.
